Two flash dryers and a new in-line rotary dryer enable CPS to dry materials from over 50% to less than .5% moisture.

Products can also be screened from 4 to 40 mesh and repackaged for shipping to customers or end-users.

Media Milling

Custom Processing Services offers another type of material size reduction called media milling, which can produce uniform particle size distributions in the micron & submicron (or nanometer) range.

In addition to producing nano-particles, media milling offers other advantages.

At times, dry milled material can re-agglomerate once it is placed into a wet system. In that case, the material would have to undergo secondary processing through a wet media mill. Some customers would rather wet mill the entire batch vs. buying pre-ground dry material and then milling the wet mixture.

Another reason to choose wet media milling over dry milling is that the application is wet to begin with, like paint, for example, or the process requires a wet slurry in order to get to the finished product, like tape casting.
